Pelargo nasal spray is a combination product with the extracts of three plants: pelargonium, olive leaf, and aloe vera, as well as dexpanthenol as its components.

Pelargo nasal spray has immunomodulatory, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, anti-cold, moisturizing, emollient, protective, and cytoprotective properties.

Pelargo nasal spray is used for complex treatment of rhinitis, sinusitis, rhinosinusitis, adenoiditis, and acute respiratory viral infections. It may be used for prophylactic to reduce susceptibility to respiratory infections and prevent dryness, burning, and nasal crusting. It helps improve clinical condition and prevents complications.

Pelargonium extract contains polyphenols, umckalin, coumarins, and essential oils, which have antiviral, antibacterial, and microlytic effects.

The immunomodulatory effect is achieved through modulating interferon synthesis, activating macrophage phagocytic activity, etc. The antibacterial effect is achieved through blocking the molecules responsible for bacterial adhesion to the mucosa. The mucolytic effect is achieved through activating the self-cleaning mechanism of the upper respiratory tract, thinning and removing mucus. The cytoprotective and antioxidant properties promote recovery of the nasal mucosa.

Olive leaves contain oleuropein, polyphenols, bioflavonoids, and triterpenes, which exhibit apparent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.

Aloe vera extract contains barbaloin which has moisturizing, anti-inflammatory, and regenerating effects.

Dexpanthenol promotes regeneration of the nasal mucosa.

Peppermint oil has an anti-inflammatory effect.

Pelargo nasal spray is standardized according to its active substances.
