Nosacare Pro Moisturizing
Nosacare Pro Moisturizing contains the active substance oxymetazoline hydrochloride and belongs to drugs which reduce nasal mucosa swelling and restore free nasal breathing (decongestants).
The product has a vasoconstrictive effect, facilitates opening and expansion of the paranasal sinuses and pharyngotympanic tube. It improves aeration of the paranasal sinuses and middle ear cavity to prevent bacterial complications such as maxillary sinusitis, sinusitis, and otitis.
1 ml of solution contains 0.5 mg of oxymetazoline hydrochloride. One actuation of the bottle’s nasal sprayer releases a 0.11 ml dose which contains 55 mkg of oxymetazoline hydrochloride.
Excipients: purified water, glycerin, noncrystallizing sorbitol solution, glycine, sodium chloride, benzalkonium chloride, concentrated hydrochloric acid (for pH adjustment), sodium hydroxide (for pH adjustment).
For adults, children aged over 6 years and adolescents aged under 18 years: 1 spray in each nasal passage 2-3 times daily.
Use in children and adolescents:
In children aged 6 to 11 years, the product should be used under supervision by an adult. Safety and efficacy of Nosacare Pro moisturizing in children under 6 years of age has not been established to date.
Use locally, nasally.
Standard duration of administration is 5–7 days.
- impaired nasal airflow in acute rhinitis, allergic rhinitis, or vasomotor rhinitis;
- restoring drainage in inflammation of the paranasal sinuses, eustachitis, and otitis media.
- reducing swelling before diagnostic procedures in nasal passages.
The drug product is indicated for use in adults and children over 6 years of age.
Prescription status:
Over-the-counter.
Do not use Nosacare Pro moisturizing:
- if you are allergic to oxymetazoline or any other components of the product (listed in section 6 of the leaflet);
- if you have atrophic rhinitis;
- if you have angle-closure glaucoma;
- if you have received transsphenoidal hypophysectomy or another surgical procedure that could cause dural damage.
Do not use Nosacare Pro moisturizing in children under 6 years of age.
