Nosacare Gel Mint
Nosacare Gel Mint is a metered-dose nasal spray for adults and children aged 6 years and older, containing 0.5 mg/g of oxymetazoline.
With its gel form, the spray gets more viscous after having been applied to better retain on the nasal mucosa as compared to standard aqueous solutions. It helps maintain dry or irritated nasal mucosa moisturized and provides more comfortable use.
Oxymetazoline has a vasoconstrictive effect, helps reduce nasal mucosa swelling and restore free breathing. As such, the product facilitates opening the paranasal sinuses and pharyngotympanic tube, improves secretion drainage, and restores aeration of the paranasal sinuses and middle ear cavity to prevent bacterial complications such as sinusitis and otitis media.
Additionally, the formulation includes eucalyptus oil which has antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and decongestant properties.

1 g of spray contains 0.5 mg of oxymetazoline hydrochloride. Actuation of the bottle’s nasal sprayer releases a 0.10 g dose which contains 50 mkg of oxymetazoline hydrochloride.
Adults and children aged over 10 years: 1 dose in each nasal passage 2-3 times daily.
Children aged 6 to 10 years: 1 dose in each nasal passage at 12-hour interval.
Do not use higher doses than specified herein. The treatment course is not more than 3-5 days. Maximum duration of administration is 7 days.
If prescribed to a child, the product should be administered to the child by an adult.
The product should not be used by children themselves.
Use locally, nasally. Efficacy of oxymetazoline may decrease with prolonged use or use of high doses. And it may consequently result in more frequent or more prolonged use. In case of prolonged use or overdose, treatment should be discontinued immediately.

- symptomatic treatment of rhinitis (running nose) of viral or bacterial origin, allergic rhinitis, vasomotor rhinitis, and otitis media;
- reducing nasopharyngeal mucosa swelling and clear the pharyngotympanic tube;
- facilitating secretion drainage in paranasal sinuses diseases (acute sinusitis or chronic sinusitis in the exacerbation phase);
- reducing swelling of nasal and nasopharyngeal mucosa for diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

Do not use the product in conditions such as: allergy to oxymetazoline or any other components of the product (listed in section 6 of the leaflet); angle-closure glaucoma; condition after transsphenoidal hypophysectomy; after surgical procedures that could cause dural damage; atrophic rhinitis; acute cardiovascular diseases or acute left ventricular failure; severe uncontrollable hypertension; do not give the product to children under 6 years of age.
